Top 5 Finish in Indy for the Consistent Seely!
INDIANAPOLIS (March 18, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely showcased his consistency with another top five ride inside Lucas Oil Stadium as the series completed its 11th round. With only five races remaining, Seely sits in a tie for third in the championship, still well ahead of fifth.
Seely started the night on a good note as he transferred straight from the heat race to the main event with a second-place finish. It was a hectic main event start, but he put himself in the top 10 around the first turn and started to make his way through the pack. Around five minutes in, Seely put on a charge and made the pass for fifth. It was an intense lap, but he kept it together and held on to his eighth top-five finish of the season.
“This track always brings something unique and it definitely kept you on your toes the whole race,” said Seely. “We’re going to get back on that podium, but I’m thankful to be safe and get a solid ride in. We’ll keep pushing throughout the week and come in strong to Detroit.”
