TLD’s Seely Makes Improvements in Daytona
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. (March 11, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely made some nice improvements to come away with a fifth-place finish at the one-of-a-kind track at Daytona International Speedway. Seely has yet to finish worse than sixth after a long 10 rounds, placing him an impressive third in the championship standings.
Seely narrowly missed an instant transfer from his heat, finishing fifth. He knew that he had solid speed and went on to win his semi race. He got a decent jump on the short start and came around the first part of the lap in sixth. He stayed with the front group, putting in steady laps on a track that devoured riders throughout the night. He came through for another top-five finish and moved up the championship standings to third.
“It’s easy to get down on myself that I’m not on the podium, but putting in consistent finishes has helped me get up to third in the championship,” said Seely. “I will keep working hard to get back on the podium. I’m a fan of Indianapolis, so hopefully something good happens there.”
