Protection/Helmet Product Developer

Troy Lee Designs, the world’s leading aspirational brand of bicycle and motocross helmets and apparel, is looking for a Protection/Helmet Product Developer. The Product Developer for Protection/Helmets will lead all aspects of the development process for TLD protection/helmets from inception through buy ready completion. This position is responsible for creating, supporting design, and product management to create an innovative and proprietary protection/helmets product line that will differentiate itself in the motocross and mountain bike markets and create an incremental growth opportunity for the TLD brand.

Troy Lee Designs, the world’s leading aspirational brand of bicycle and motocross helmets and apparel, is looking for a Protection/Helmet Product Developer. The Product Developer for Protection/Helmets will lead all aspects of the development process for TLD protection/helmets from inception through buy ready completion. This position is responsible for creating, supporting design, and product management to create an innovative and proprietary protection/helmets product line that will differentiate itself in the motocross and mountain bike markets and create an incremental growth opportunity for the TLD brand.

Duties & Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To):

  • Drive all development functions from inception through go to market for the introduction of new protection/helmets product line for bike and moto.
  • Partner with Development leadership and Bike and Moto PM’s to establish a proprietary product strategy and direction for the entire product line in order to create a proprietary position and maximize commercial opportunity.
  • Partner with design team on full execution of product development process from start to final buy ready status.
  • Work alongside TLD teams to ensure protection/helmets product line includes key TLD DNA ingredients.
  • Work with PLM’s on product line strategy specific to architecture, pricing strategies, and profitability targets to ensure strong revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Full execution of construction documentation for entire product line.
  • Manage development calendar to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Tracking of all development from design handover through buy ready status.
  • Work closely with supply chain/vendor base on product development, raw material development, testing, R&D requirements, etc.
  • Work with key athletes on product development and testing to ensure product meets all expected requirements.
  • Assist in product meetings at all stages from product creation through go to market.

Qualifications Required:
  • 5 years’ plus of product development and sourcing.
  • Significant knowledge, involvement, and understanding of the mountain bike and motocross markets.
  • Excellent knowledge on completion of construction documentation specific to development.

Order Packer

The Order Packer is responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment.

Position Overview:

Troy Lee Designs, the world’s leading aspirational brand of Bicycle and Motocross helmets and apparel, is looking for an Order Packer. The Order Packer is responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To):

  • Complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pick, pull, scan, pack, process, ship).
  • Double check orders via the RF scan gun.
  • Package product neatly while protecting fragile goods.
  • Process shipments using the correct shipment method provided by the customer.
  • Process returns daily.
  • Fill out accountability worksheet.
  • Process will calls for showroom customers.
  • Receive and maintain warehouse stock products (pick, unload trucks, label, store, transfer inventory.)
  • Maintain correct inventory levels (cycle count, transfer product, pick, and label.)
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Complete inventory logs.
  • Report any discrepancies.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide a great customer experience with packaging and fulfilling orders to the highest standard.

Qualifications Required:

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making, planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to calculate figures.

Plus Factors:

  • Knowledge or experience in the Bicycle or Moto industry.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand while performing job duties.
  • Frequently required to walk.

Custom Painter/ Airbrush Artist

Troy Lee Designs, the world’s leading aspirational brand of Bicycle and Motocross helmets and apparel, is looking for a Custom Painter/ Airbrush Artist to join our team. The Custom Painter/ Airbrush Artist will be responsible for creating quality custom painting, graphics, and airbrush designs for the TLD Paint Department. In this role, you will also be responsible for working with stencils, masks, and creating freehand designs to produce product, as portrayed in production drawings and illustrations. We are looking for someone with an attention to detail, who can bring drawings and renderings to life. The role will require creating quality work in a timely fashion, in order to deliver the best products to TLD customers. Teamwork is a necessity in working collaboratively with other TLD artists, paint team, designers, project managers, and coworkers. Candidates must have previous experience with prepping and repairing surfaces, applying paint and top coat, and upholding paint equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To):
  • Mix and apply paint to ensure proper paint coverage.
  • Accurately reproduce the design/illustration per detailed drawings.
  • Use, maintain, and clean airbrushes, air guns, pressure pots, and other TLD equipment as required.
  • Prep and repair any differences in surface, including filling and sanding imperfections.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor time and materials used.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area while observing and implementing proper safety practices.
  • Assist in performing other paint and coating related maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Follow the daily and weekly schedule while prioritizing projects in order to meet customer shipping deadlines.
  • Work with other departments to communicate questions and concerns surrounding quality, timeline and/or other work related issues.
  • Ability to create rough sketches.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to use and/or operate basic hand tools (manual and power-driven).
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability and willingness to follow direction and be a team player.
  • Ability to work independently as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Physical Demands/Environment:
  • Sitting/standing (8) hours per day using full range of physical motions associated with general labor work throughout the work day.
  • Manual lifting and maneuvering up to 40 pounds.
  • May be exposed to loud noises and various materials.
