Corona, Calif. (November 13, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs’ Taylor Robert ended the 2017 AMA National Hare and Hound season on a high note, earning his fourth victory of the season. Since returning from injury at Round 4, Robert has won four out of the last six races. Even with his two absences due to injury, he still finished second overall in the championship standings.
Robert wanted to improve from his tough start at the last round and grabbed the holeshot, leading the riders into the single track. The other riders kept the pressure on him most of the race, but Robert didn’t make a mistake and narrowly edged out the second place rider by only 10 seconds.
“It was a great race and those guys kept me honest the whole time,” said Robert. “The course was really well done to keep us safe and I had a lot of fun out there to end the season. I had a bad start last round and I didn’t want that to happen again, so when I got the holeshot it took a lot of stress off. It’s a great way to cap off a season that had its ups and downs.”
Robert was wearing the KTM Powerwear from the 2018 collection, including a shiny new SE4 Helmet. Click to find your local TLD retailer.
