Some amazing racing this weekend in Mont-Sainte-Anne ended with Vali Höll on the top step of the elite women’s podium. Starting with the fastest qualifying time and adding on to that with earning her 200 points for the win, Vali Höll bumped herself up to second overall in the series behind Camille Balanche. Vali was joined by Eleanora Farina in third and Monika Hrastnik in fifth to give the TLD women three of the top five spots in the final.
It wasn't all butterflies and rainbows for the TLD riders. The most significant news of the weeks came during Thursday's practice where the women's overall series leader Camille Balanche suffered a broken collar bone which would rule her out of the race and potentially side line her for the remainder of the season. Even without racing, Cami remains the overall series leader after round seven in MSA.
In elite men’s, Troy Brosnan snagged his first podium finish of the year after battling back from injury during the Australian National Championship which forced him to not race the first couple of World Cup Dh races this year. The third place result showed that Troy, who nearly grabbing a podium finish at every 2021 race, is back in top form headed into world champs.
