POSITION OVERVIEW
Troy Lee Designs seeks an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our bike division. The US Bike Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and managing a remote sales team across the United States. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the bike/apparel industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing national sales team, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and values.
- Set performance targets, monitor progress, and provide coaching and mentorship to sales representatives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets for the bike division.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for expansion and new business development.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute effective sales and promotional campaigns.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns from clients promptly and professionally.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the bike division's market reach.
- Develop and execute strategies to enter new markets and increase market share.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote Troy Lee Designs' bike products.
- Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Utilize CRM systems and sales analytics to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback on market trends, customer preferences, and product performance.
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on sales performance and strategic initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field experience
- 8+ years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record in the bike industry
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a national sales team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Passion for biking and a deep understanding of the bike industry and its trends
