SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (February 10, 2018) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely moved into third overall in the Monster Energy Supercross championships standings following a great ride during Round 6 inside Petco Park. Seely led laps and was showcasing his speed on a slick track, finishing just off the podium in fourth.
Seely started the day off with a tough qualifying session but managed to make up for it with a second in his heat race. As the riders rounded the first turn, it was Seely with his second consecutive holeshot and a clear track in front of him. He led 12 laps of the race before sliding to fourth when the checkered flag flew.
“The track was interesting tonight and I was really lucky to get out front and have a clear track ahead of me,” said Seely. “I really wanted that podium finish, but we’ll have to keep pushing. I’ve been able to get out to the front the past two weeks and want to be able to make it stick.”
In honor of the San Diego area’s deep history with the military, Seely sported the GP Star Navy Jersey and GP Star Navy Pant. The racewear was rounded out with the Metric Helmet that will be for sale soon. See more of the 2018 gear sets and the 2018 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
