TLD’s Seely Shows Intensity in Oakland With Fifth-Place Finish

Oakland, Calif. (February 4, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely rode with a noticeable intensity during the single Northern California stop to O.co Coliseum. He overcame the challenges of a rough and rutted track to finish in fifth-place. The night started out with a nice ride in the heat race where Seely finished third and easily transferred to the main event. The 20 minutes plus one lap main event was likely the toughest of the season with extreme ruts and challenging rhythm and sand sections. Seely maintained his speed the entire race to come through with fifth-place overall. “It was a good night considering how much the track deteriorated,” said Seely. “Being the last race of the day definitely took its toll and I was focused on making as few mistakes as possible. I am focused on making it back to the podium next weekend in Texas.” Seely sits in fourth in the 450SX point’s standings. Round 6 of the Monster Energy Supercross series starts its trek east with a stop in Arlington, Texas next weekend. Seely wore the GP Midnight Black Racewear and was protected by the SE4 helmet.
