Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Sean Cantrell Finishes Rookie Season With Career Best Finish

CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. (August 26, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Sean Cantrell rode as the team’s sole participant at the final Pro Motocross round at Ironman Raceway, making it count as he scored a season best finish in eighth overall. After earning his first podium of the season, teammate Shane McElrath was forced to sit out the round in Indiana due to a hand injury. It was a day that Cantrell will remember as a breakthrough day for him. He started the first moto with the front-runners, but kept it inside the top 10 to finish with his best moto result of sixth. “If there is a way you should go out for the season it is with a season best finish,” said Cantrell. “It was a long time coming and I’m so happy to keep the team inside the top 10. I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned over the past 12 races and I feel like it all came together for a solid day.” Cantrell closed out the season with the SE Streamline Blue and Orange Racewear in practice and then switched to the SE Air Streamline Racewear during the motos.
